I wish the weather would stick to the boating kind so I can wear more of my deck shoes :)

A little treat

After my exciting week at my job trial, I decided to treat myself a little while I had some money spare and since Clarks are having a sale on how could I refuse a new pair of shoes. Whenever Clarks have a sale on I usually go a grab something because I am loving all their shoes at the moment and I just can't go wrong. I browsed there site and saw the pair I was for sure going to get, they were black, shiny and flat, very practical (I have the same pair in purple). I was positive I wasn't going to get red shoes as I've have 3 pairs already, but I do love red shoes.

Anyway so here we go strolling into clarks and I picked up the pair i'd seen online, then the BF goes "get these", holding a pair of shiny red heels in his hand. I knew this was going to be dangerous as 1. he never usually has an opinion on ladies shoes so he must mean business this time and 2. I had already seen these shoes online and secretly wanted them! I was trying to resist as they were exactly what I didn't want to buy, bright red and heels, but you know what? I got them. That's right. The boyfriend said he wouldn't let me out of the shop if I didn't buy these ones as he reckons they were "me" in shoe form!

O and I got a new hair cut :)

Show me your shoes - Johanna

Todays shoes are from the ever so vintage young lady Johanna. She has a fabulous wardrobe and here are her shoes.

She says:

These shoes used to belong to my aunt and I think they were bought in the 70s. They're the perfect pair of espadrilles to me, I've never seen a better looking pair. They're actually a tiny bit too big for me, but I can wear them anyway because of the straps. I've been wearing them since I was twelve or something.

I think the age just shows how charming and wearable vintage items are!

Todays shoes are from the ever so vintage young lady Johanna. She has a fabulous wardrobe and here are her shoes.

Shoes Sale!

I have tooo many shoes so I am offering these pairs for sale at just £5 each! They have only been worn once, the buff ones only out in my garden. They are both by Love Label and are a size 6. The top ones are a buff grey and are made with good quality synthetic leather. The cross over at the front are really good for supporting the foot and they have a strong, 1" thick elastic strap to support the back. Great for day and night.

This pair are a light baby pink in a super super soft synthetic leather. They are right on trend with their sweet ruffles and despite their 3" heel they have a 1.5cm platform for easier walking (or dancing). Fab for a night out even to just throw on with some jeans.

anthropologie

I keep seeing people wearing this everywhere in blog land and I had never heard of anthropologie before I started blogging. Everyone I see wearing it, looks fabulous and I want a piece of the action so I had a look at their site. I think it's from the USA but they seem to post out to the UK and Europe which is great!

Their site is really nice, with a great friendly ambiance. They have a very very vintage feel which I love and their priced range quite a lot from £20 to £100 so I truly believe there is something for everyone. I hope to get something from them soon and so here are my current favourites. I didn't even get started on the shoes, jewellery and homewares!

Show me your shoes - Chrissy

We back to the shoes this week and Chrissy has started us off with her bargain!

She says:

"£1 primark shoes - shame on me :( They're actually very cute fake leather with rustic brass buckles so I feel like a really cool librarian :) (and also, no cows had to die, unlike most of my DMs)."

I don't think you can go wrong with £1 shoes, even if they were to do the gardening in!

Show me your shoes - Cathryn Dean

Cathryn Dean couldn't show us just one pair so she sent us three!

She says:

"You see the brown boots are my favorite flat shoes, they are made by RocketDog and are super comfy and not at all like the slouchy horrid boots that have no heel support, these have heel support and a good thick sole!

And the black ones are favorites for general smart wear and hanging out with friends, they look great with skinny jeans but probably don't get polished as much as they should.

But the pink ones, now they have a special use. They don't get worn out terribly often partly because they are quite high heeled and I can't totter far in them and partly because, well they are Very pink and I don't have many clothes to compliment them.

But they have a great use, they are my feel good shoes, Oh yes when I'm feeling down i throw on these and my tutu and put on some good old fashioned Motown and I'm instantly happy again!

So there you have it my favorite shoes. Sorry it wasn't one pair, heehe.

Show me your shoes - Dotty one

The Dotty one shows us her shoes.

She says:

"I love these shoes because they make me feel like a little kid again - they are comfy and light and summery and never fail to make me feel happy. One of my friends said I was too old to wear them. Maybe I am but I don't care because they make me smile and what's wrong with skipping down the road pretending you are 12 again anyway?!"

There is a little girl in all of us somewhere and I say go for it!

Again we have very practical shoes, which are all very nice and very good, but I think it's time we saw your impractical side!

Show me your shoes-Mine!

Here is a picture of my shoes to start off one of my new regular topics. I have lots of shoes, probably like most girls but I chose these ones to show you because they are the ones I have been wearing the most recently. 

They are from Clarks and are a metallic berry purple. I was unsure about the colour of these at first, I usually go for red, but they were in the sale and I swear by Clarks and Jones the Bootmakers shoes. I also think they make my feet look like a size 8 (i'm a size 6 and i've got over that now!). I really like these shoes now and are almost perfect for most task feet have to do. They are brilliant for driving in and are comfortable enough to go for a walk. They are also sparkly enough to jazz up a boring outfit and will always look quirky!

After all this description of reasoning for wearing them, what do you think they say about me?
