When I won giveaway No. 2

So lucky me is back again, now with the second blog giveaway that I won.

I was so pleased when I found out I won this blog giveaway and I was really surprised as I had forgot all about entering and as we all know how I previously won the yellowgoat blog; I thought it would be too good to be true to win yet another blog. So this is what I won, a super duper cute squirrel brooch from the Nottingham Craft Mafia blog, handmade by Kate Broughton, who sells her wares on Folksy and you can actually buy the same design if you love it as much as I do.

I must say that the quality of stitching is fabulous and I must admit that although I really loved this little brooch I don't think I would ever have bought it myself as I thought maybe I wouldn't wear it much. But since receiving Mr. Squirrel in the post I couldn't have been more wrong. I have worn him so much already and he is perfect for the autumn and most importantly it has made me change my mind about all those things I usually like but think I will never wear. I'm not sure my jewellery collection needs adding too, but now I have Mr. Squirrel I think he needs some friends!

So as I said I thought it was too good to be true to win two blog giveaways, but guess what?? Yes, that's right I have won a third!! Can you believe it? I tell you I am having a really lucky time at the moment (I better go do the lottery, haha) and I will do a blog about my next prize when I receive it.

When I won a giveaway.

I was a very lucky lady last month because I won 2 blog giveaways, yes that's right two!! I totally love both the prizes I won, but this is the first prize that I am showing you which I won at Yellowgoat's blog.

So here it is a gorgeous 5" inch handmade plate from LAS design on Etsy. It is create from recycled stoneware clay and has a fabulous lace or doily pattern imprinted into the clay before firing. It is then glazed in a bright yellow, which i love as it's my favourite colour and so I am even more pleased I won this item.

As you can see it has already found a home housing my rings. I have a few quite a few plates and cups which i lay my jewellery on at the end of the day so this little plate feels right at home.

I will show you my other prize very soon.

Mr britain wants to come and stay with you!

Now my shop is up and running and I have started to blog again (hurrah) and so I thought maybe I should give you guys a giveaway for the chance to win one of my new designs.... Mr Britain!

Mr Britain would like to come and stay with you, and he can be yours with just one condition. In return for winning Mr Britain I am very gratefully asking you, the lucky person to do a photo diary of you and him and the adventure you go on within the week. This only has to be a couple of photos and a quick description so we can read all about it on my blog at a later date. We all want to see what he gets up to, so I hope the winner will be a dedicated one. It would be fabulous if he gets to go on holiday, or on a special museum trip.

I hope you'll all want to take part as it is as simple as commenting this post until the Monday 5th of October and any tweets about this will also get extra entries (just remember to comment below to say you've tweeted and also add @shedraws to the tweet). Also please leave an email address with your comment so I can contact you when the winner is drawn.

Open to all folk in the UK and overseas.

Enjoy!

Drum roll please!

Apologies for the delay in drawing a winner for my giveaway - I just wanted to add some real suspence to the occasion!

So this time I decided on drawing in the old fashion way, I used the random generator before, but there just isn't that pazzaz when the winner is revealed. So I wrote out all all the names and neatly folded them, then placed them in a vintage wooden shaker which the BF's parents use to draw the lottery.

So here is me shaking up the names.

Here is me drawing the names.

And here is me picking the winner ..... who is ANNA - from ZennithZark!

Congratulations to you Anna, I hope you enjoy the items!

All that glitters

Ok so i'm a bit late doing my all that glitters, and I did forgot to do "glued & glittered" this week, and I know i've only just started these regular blogs, but I hope that next week i'll be right on top of it.

So here is my "all that glitters". I bought Elle decoration magazine yesterday and I was really delighted when I saw a page of all illustrated items. This made me feel confident about my work as I had a not so good craft fair on Friday and was beginning to think my items weren't very salable. However I am really pleased to see people like illustrations and are willing to spare a few spaces in their homes for some drawn love. I loved this page from Elle  magazine, looks fun and exciting and I have come across some of the designers before. I am currently in the motions of getting some homeware items into my shops, like tea towels, cups and mugs and tote bags are currently being printed with my cake stand, bird cage and luxury cupcake drawings on then. I think they are going to look super but i'm scared i'll want them all to myself.

Inspired by this Elle page I have put a page together will all my black and white illustrations on.

P.S. The giveaway going on at Tea for Joy's blog has bought some fantastic comments with creative ideas on what they'd do with my buttons if they had some. Some of the ideas have been putting them on their camera bag, jazzing up some cardigan sleeves and my favourite putting them on a plain pair of ballet pumps. As my buttons have been flying off that shelves I am wondering what you guys have been doing with them all and would like you to send me some pictures so I can post them on my blog and my website to give others some ideas. Thankyou!

Busy busy

I have been busy finishing off some of my new illustration jewellery. My tea set necklace and chandelier earrings proved popular so I thought of some new ideas in which I could use 2 or three charms together to create a kitsch theme. So far I have done a valentines "love letter" necklace, which features an envelope, a love letter and a pen and a robot with some nuts and bolts, but my favourite has to be the vintage telephone with it's very own receiver and "hello" speech bubble. I might have to make myself one!
I will be listing these on my website and etsy later.

A belated congratulations is in need also, to Alice who won my bow necklace give away! Commiseration's  to everyone on my mailing list who didn't win, but there will a chance next time as I plan to do more giveaways in the future!

Anyway I really should go an start these logos I am ment to be doing for my dad and a music producer. I just can't help myself getting carried away with finishing off my new jewellery ideas! I still have many ideas floating around my head just waiting to be put to paper.

And lastly, please visit our crafteroo comic relief shop on Folksy. Members from the crafteroo forum have kindly donated some pieces for the shop and all proceeds from the sales will go to comic relief so make sure you take a look so you can do your bit! Thank you.

Giveaway

Later on this evening I will announce the winner of my very first giveaway. This was open to anyone and you can still enter (if you haven't already) by signing up to my mailing list at glueandglitter.co.uk. Anyone on my list will automatically be added to the random.org generator so it is very simple to be a part of it!

This is the necklace that is up for grabs.

This particular design hasn't been for sale yet, and so you'll be the first to set eyes on it. I hope you like it. It's a very sweet white bow, a sister to the red I have for
sale and is hung on a gold plated chain.

I will let the winner know tomorrow, just to really bring the excitement to boiling point!

I have also been working on finishing some other illustration jewellery and the two swaps that I am involved with. The owl swap and the button swap. I can't reveal too much, just incase someone is reading this! But I am happy the way they are going so far anyway.
